Zass

Location & practical

Zass is the restaurant that makes Il San Pietro di Positano feel less like a famous hotel with a dining room and more like a serious culinary destination. Suspended above the Amalfi Coast at Via Laurito 2, it looks out toward Praiano and the sea, which gives the room its quiet drama without relying on spectacle alone. In the kitchen, chef Alois Vanlangenaeker builds refined Mediterranean cooking around produce from the hotel’s organic gardens and carefully chosen local suppliers. Michelin currently awards it one star, and that balance of precision and place explains why. What stays with you is the authenticity: polished service, exact cooking, and a setting that still feels deeply tied to Campania rather than staged for it.

Good to know.
