Hytra Restaurant & Bar
1, Petrou Kokkali STR, Athina 115 21, Greece — Athens — Greece
About
At Hytra, Athens fine dining feels disciplined, current, and deeply Greek. Chef Giorgos Felemegas builds his menu from ingredients drawn from across the country, then treats them with modern technique and a sharp sense of balance. The house specialty is contemporary Greek cooking rooted in traditional recipes, whether through tasting menus, a vegetarian “Think Green” option, or plates that push familiar flavours into cleaner, more precise territory. Michelin highlights the fine textures, meticulous presentation, and the use of Greek ingredients and herbs from the restaurant’s own kitchen garden. The setting matters. Hytra now receives guests at 1 Petrou Kokkali in Ampelokipi, in a space Athinorama describes as marked by artistic decoration and a glass wall facing Hymettus. That sense of urban polish suits a restaurant with history: Hytra began in Psiri, earned its Michelin star in 2010, later became known for its elevated perch at the Onassis Cultural Centre, and has kept evolving without losing its identity. You feel the ambition in the room, then on the plate, where craft clearly comes first.
