Wildair pulses on Orchard Street as the unruly younger sibling of Contra, driven by chefs Jeremiah Stone and Fabian von Hauske Valtierra. Since 2015 it has redefined the Lower East Side with audacious small plates and a razor sharp natural wine list. Think beef tartare glossed with smoked egg yolk or silken carrot crepes. The room is spare yet electric, all white brick and marble bar, spilling onto the street in warm months with effortless downtown swagger.
