At Giacomo Bistrot, on Via Pasquale Sottocorno in Milan, the Giacomo world takes a slightly more intimate turn. The cuisine is guided by executive chef Emanuele Settel and leans into polished Italian classics, with Milanese veal cutlet, prime grilled meats, fish dishes and seasonal plates built on strong produce and exact technique. The room is a major part of the appeal: Laura Sartori Rimini and Roberto Peregalli designed it with arched passages, antique books, dim light and the kind of cultivated warmth Milan does very well. In summer, the small outdoor area adds a lighter note, but the real seduction is indoors, where craft, comfort and appetite are all taken seriously.
