In the heart of Richmond Hill, Queens, Trinciti Roti Shop & Restaurant honors Trinidadian craft with quiet authority. Chef and owner Shiva Maharaj built its following on roti that is supple, fragrant, and layered with deeply spiced curry goat or tender channa and aloo. Doubles arrive warm and bright with tamarind and pepper. The room is unfussy and alive, the counter humming with regulars. Since opening in 2006, it remains a destination for those who know.
