Murray Dixon, once the Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel, and a darker teak and stone courtyard conceived by Jean Michel Gathy. The pairing works beautifully. Deco symmetry meets serene Asian restraint. Three long reflecting pools lead the eye toward the Atlantic, as if Miami briefly remembers how to be contemplative. Inside, terrazzo floors, bronze screens, and low light cultivate quiet glamour.
