Perched above the still waters of Sun Moon Lake, The Lalu carries the quiet confidence of a place that understands its setting. The site once housed a retreat for Chiang Kai shek, and history lingers lightly in the air. What stands today, conceived by architect Kerry Hill, is an exercise in disciplined serenity: long horizontal lines, dark timber, vast panes of glass framing lake and mountain as living art. The infinity pool appears to pour into the horizon. Mornings arrive in mist and silence. Evenings glow in amber light.
