The Flute Bar (Rooftop at Broadwick Soho)
7th floor, 20 Broadwick St, London W1F 8TH, UK
About
Up on the seventh floor of Broadwick Soho, Flute feels like Soho decided to dress for the night and never went home. The room is pure maximalist pleasure, a mirrored ceiling bouncing the glow of globe lights, cork walls, animal print upholstery and a palm frond carpet that reads like a wink to Riviera glamour. Outside, a landscaped wraparound terrace looks over the tight streets and rooftops of the neighbourhood, close enough to feel the buzz, high enough to sip above it. Order a cocktail and you get a neat local in joke: the list nods to films shot in and around Soho, a smart way to make the menu feel like part of the postcode rather than a generic rooftop. Champagne is a headline act too, with plenty of grower and grande marque choices, plus playful bites that lean into salty luxury, including a caviar option when the mood calls for it. Fun footnote for the curious: Flute takes its name from a noted flute maker who once lived on Broadwick Street.
