Bel Mondo sits on Calle de Velázquez in Salamanca, a neighbourhood that does luxury shopping by day and late dinners by instinct. Big Mamma opened this as its first Spanish outpost in September 2020, and went deliberately big: around 900 square metres, an open kitchen as theatre, and enough little corners to make 300 seats feel like a scavenger hunt.  The look plays with the idea of an Italian summer palazzo, then adds a wink of 80s exuberance: bold colour, chandeliers, marble and velvet energy, plus a flower packed terrace that turns even a quick aperitivo into a scene.  In the kitchen, chef Daniele Tasso’s team leans into crowd pleasing Italy done properly: wood fired Neapolitan pizzas, fresh pasta made in house, and a product flex that actually names names, like Parma ham from Langhirano and burrata flown in from Andria in Puglia. Order like a local here: start with something fried and shameless, share a pasta, then finish with tiramisu while the room keeps humming.
