At 117 Berry Street in Williamsburg, Ensō Omakase brings a highly controlled expression of Edomae sushi to Brooklyn. Chef Nick Wang, known for Ako and Amami, approaches the counter with quiet authority. Whole fish are displayed behind him, setting the tone before the first piece is served, while the Kyoto inspired interior balances pale wood, clay textures and soft, firelike lighting. The omakase moves with intent. Cured blue mackerel, chutoro and seasonal selections arrive in steady rhythm, each piece shaped with precision and explained without excess. There is also a more relaxed bar and lounge setting, which broadens the experience without diluting it. In a city dense with sushi counters, Ensō distinguishes itself through control.
