BEAUSiTE Zermatt

Location & practical

The Matterhorn, framed from the pool and your bedroom

  • The Matterhorn joins you in the pool.
  • Choose the view when you choose the room.
  • Wood-fired dinner after the last lift.
  • €530–700 / night
  • 70 rooms
  • Central Zermatt

BEAUSiTE has the sort of view that can interrupt a conversation. The Matterhorn appears beyond the outdoor infinity pool, across the breakfast room and from many of the hotel’s 70 rooms. The hotel dates from 1907, but its interiors are thoroughly contemporary, with a playful nod to the early days of Alpine climbing.

Stay for the mountain, but give the hotel some of your time. The Spa & Recharge Zone has indoor and outdoor pools, whirlpools, saunas and a hammam. Breakfast at 3 Seasons comes with a panorama and a live cooking station. In the evening, The Grill cooks regional meat, fish and vegetables over a wood fire; 1907 Bar & Terrace is an easy place to linger afterwards.

Room category is the decision that matters most. A standard Double Room does not promise the famous view; the Matterhorn Double, Corner Room and junior suites do. Families have dedicated rooms sleeping four. Zermatt is car-free, so arrive by rail or leave your car in Täsch, then walk from the station in under ten minutes or call the hotel for its shuttle. Three nights give you time for a mountain day and an unhurried afternoon at the pool.
